Frequently Asked Questions
As you continue to plan and prepare for the Big Summer Do Dah, you may have questions about what's planned, what to bring, or other things related to the area and the event. Provided below are answers to some of what we anticipate may be common questions.
What will the weather be like in Walla Walla in July?
In a word: HOT. July and August are typically the hottest months in the Walla Walla Valley. The daytime temp is usually in the upper 80's or low 90's and the evenings will cool to 60 or so. Disclaimer: There's no accounting for climate change and what mother nature will have in store so count on it potentially being a bit warmer.
Will I need a car to get around?
Having a car will certainly make it easier (This is defintely not a metro area with lots of public transportation.) although there will certainly be plenty of folks around who have cars and can help with shuttling people to one place or another. Uber is available in the area but not Lyft. If you're driving to Walla Walla and want to bring your bike, you can get just about anywhere on two wheels. City biking is flat and easy.
What kind of clothes should I bring?
Walla Walla is a casual place so you won't need your tuxedo or your prom dress. That said, there are certainly a number of nice restaurants where you might want to wear something other than shorts and flip flops. The Family Dinner & Celebration on Sunday night is not dressy unless you want to make it that way for yourself. And, yes, you should bring a bathing suit and workout clothes if you want to indulge in swimming, pickleball, tennis or etc.
Can I bring my pet with me?
If you have a pet that needs to travel with you, that's fine. BUT, we respectfully request that none of these additional pets make an appearance at Chris & Jon's. We've got our hands full with Jax, our 1 year-old puppy.
